Position Overview CRA's Life Sciences practice helps pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostics, and medical device companies achieve optimum performance across key aspects of their business, including innovation, commercial success, organization, and reputation, all for the long-term benefit of patients, clinicians, employees, and shareholders. We work with life sciences businesses directly as well as with their legal counsel, industry associations, government organizations, and advocacy groups from the earliest stages of research into new therapy areas, through product development, to the delivery of products that will achieve commercial success and fulfill the expectations of our clients and their key stakeholders.
The CRA life sciences team operates from offices across the United States and Europe to provide insights on global issues and local market challenges, allowing ease of access for our clients.

Associates work closely with senior consultants on project teams. Successful candidates will be a part of an integrated team that executes and delivers across a wide variety of consulting projects through research and quantitative skills. A typical Associate would:
- Working closely with senior colleagues to formulate strategy recommendations and solutions that address client needs
- Conducting independent research to identify, collect, manage and analyze data
- Contributing to internal discussions that build insights from the analytical process and integrating findings into broader project deliverables
- Conducting telephone or face-to-face interviews with clients or external stakeholders
- Assuming responsibility for generating sections of client presentations, reports, and other client deliverables (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint presentations and Excel workbooks)
- Proactively developing your knowledge of the life sciences industry and consulting methodologies
- Contributing to initiatives which improve workplace dynamics and day-to-day project delivery
Desired Qualifications We are looking for curious, analytical, highly-motivated candidates who have focused their studies in economics, sciences, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or other quantitative disciplines. We value knowledge of economic concepts, research experience, quantitative ability, knowledge of the Life Sciences industry, exceptional written and oral communication skills, and a high level of initiative. We expect successful candidates to use data to solve client problems, work collaboratively with a team, effectively manage their time and prioritize tasks, and take pride and ownership in their work.
Successful candidates will need to have a Bachelor's or Master's degree from a top-tier academic institution. Applicants may be considered for other roles depending on their level of educational and transferable experience. Candidates must also have the ability to meet the following criteria:
- Previous consulting experience (1-2 years)
- Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of the life sciences industry
- Core analytical and problem solving skills
- Solid presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
- Ability to conduct targeted secondary research and synthesize findings to answer client business questions
- Eye for detail and self-motivated to deliver high quality work on time
- General understanding of business processes
- Some knowledge of consulting methodologies, tools, and techniques ideal but not required
- CRA is proud of its ability of managing work/life balance. However, some travel is inevitable and successful candidates will need to show a willingness and ability to travel to client locations when required

The city of New York requires CRA to include a good-faith estimate of the wage range for this role. This range is specific to individuals applying to work in our New York office and considers a number of factors including but not limited to experience, education level, and expertise. A good-faith estimate of the base wage range for this role is $95,000 - $110,000; actual total compensation may also include benefits and bonus.
