Job Title: Special Education Teacher Multi-Needs Program
Location: Bourbonnais, IL 60914
Grades: K3
Pay Rate: $40.00-$45.00
Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Special Education Teacher to join our multi-needs program in Bourbonnais, IL. This program is designed to support students with severe/profound disabilities in grades K3. Each classroom serves up to 6 students, with the support of 34 dedicated paraprofessionals to ensure individualized instruction and care.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction and individualized learning plans for students with significant needs.
Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each students abilities and goals.
Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to create a supportive learning environment.
Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and adaptive technologies to foster student growth.
Support students with a range of eligibilities, including Autism, Intellectual Disability, and Developmental Delay.
Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages independence and engagement.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Special Education (Masters preferred).
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement required.
Experience working with students who have severe/profound disabilities strongly preferred.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students reach their fullest potential.
