SCHOOL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATOR / BOARD SECRETARY
The Cedar Grove School District is seeking a Business Administrator / Board Secretary to be responsible for fiscal oversight encompassing 4 schools within a K-12 framework with a student population of approximately 1700 and a budget of over $40M.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Hold a NJ School Business Administrator certificate.
Experience in central office administration preferred; previous experience as a Business Administrator / Board Secretary desired.
Demonstrated understanding of the principles and practices of school financial accounting and reporting procedures consistent with NJ statutes, NJ Administrative Code, GAAP and GASB 34 requirements.
Possess knowledge and understanding of budgetary software (CSI-SMART), student software (Genesis) and insurance / risk management.
Demonstrated understanding of referendum management, construction/maintenance, collective bargaining/negotiations, administration of Student transportation, building and grounds, food services, central data processing and other business related functions.
Demonstrated experience with evaluating business office and custodial/maintenance staff.
Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.

REPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Preparation / administration of annual school budget.
Preparation of all district financial reports, board agendas, minutes, and correspondence.
Supervision of Business Office and Maintenance / Custodian Department; perform evaluations of employees within each department.
Oversight / Coordination of sending / receiving / shared services.
Oversight of school finances, school construction projects, school / plant operations, food services, and student transportation.
Oversight of collective bargaining, payroll, accounts payable, purchasing, biding and insurance.
