Purpose of Position Under the direction of the Director of Finance and Purchasing, this position is responsible for managing the financial operations within assigned departments of the Common Pleas Court - General Division; assists Director of Finance and Purchasing in monitoring the Court budgets and non-general grants; supervises the Budget Analyst position.
Essential Job Functions & Competencies - Manages financial records, reports, and accounts
- Reconciles all monthly expenditures and revenue accounts for the departments
- Reviews Requests for Purchases based on purchase schedules, fiscal policies and procedures, and availability of funds
- Ensures availability of funds for expenditures in compliance with contracts and agreements
- Assists the State and County Auditor in performing internal and external audits of all Department financial records
- Opens purchase orders for the departments
- Purchases and coordinates delivery / installation of all furniture and office equipment
- Stays abreast of contractual changes and market pricing changes that effect the Department
- Prepares and processes travel requests and employee reimbursements
- Assists Director of Finance in developing the Court budgets and non-general fund grants
- Creates and maintains department purchase schedules
- Provides statistical reports upon the request of the Director of Finance and Purchasing
- Corresponds with vendors, County agencies, and department staff
- Monitors the ledgers for surpluses or deficiencies within the department and notifies Director of Finance and Purchasing with recommendations
- Coordinates with other departments for furniture movement or salvage
- Coordinates with Information Technology on department equipment moves
- Trains department staff on all fiscal forms, processes, and procedures
- Serves as member of the Court's Finance Department team
- Performs other duties as required

SENIOR BUDGET COORDINATOR - ADULT PROBATION Manages expenditure and revenue accounts for Adult Probation, Community Corrections Program grants (CCP), Justice Reinvestment, Justice Incentive Grants, TCAP and Supervision Fees budgets; supervises the Adult Probation Budget Analyst position and performs his/her job duties in his/her absence; maintains all non-general fund equipment lists; serves as the liaison in financial matters with other organizations, county agencies and vendors; cross-trained with Justice Operations Senior Budget Coordinator position; reports indirectly to the Adult Probation, Chief Probation Officer in the absence of the Director of Finance and Purchasing.

Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration or related field, or equivalent experience (applicant may substitute 2 years of related experience for each year of required education)

Preferred Qualifications - Three years' experience in governmental accounting
- Two years' experience in the supervision of employees
