What You'll Do The
Associate, RFP is responsible for the submission and/or peer review of Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFI), 15(c)s, and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), and Consultant Database entries which promote the products, services, and retention of Principal Asset Management's prospects and existing clients. This role will be liaising with members of the department, subject matter experts (SMEs), investment and distribution partners throughout the organization to ensure accuracy and clarity is articulated in all content and submissions.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Create, coordinate, and maintain content and submissions for supported clients, consultants, and products. Source, interpret and analyze qualitative and quantitative information for applicability and completeness.
- Use various tools effectively and efficiently (RFPIO, Excel, Seismic, etc.) for use in request submissions and managing content.
- Liaise with peers, leadership, subject matter experts (SMEs), and key data teams around the organization to ensure accuracy of submissions and content.
- Organize and efficiently manage workload. Communicate to business partners including investment staff and distribution on project progress updates.
- Perform other job-related duties or special projects as requested.
Who You Are - Master's degree in business or finance or bachelor's degree plus 2+ years relevant experience in the financial industry. Previous experience in an RFP, Marketing, or Sales capacity, preferably within a financial services or asset management company, desired.
- Project management, interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required. Knowledge and basic understanding of asset management and the ability to learn Principal Asset Management's business, products, and markets required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Excel) is required. Ability to learn applications, databases, and systems used within the firm is required.
- FINRA Series 7 exam is a plus, but not a requirement.
- May require fingerprinting with Principal Funds Distributor.
Salary Range Information Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $67500 - $ / year
