Genie Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Redwood City, California.

Job Description & Requirements

Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab
Discipline: RN
Start Date: 09/15/2025
Duration: 13 weeks
40 hours per week
Shift: 8 hours, days
Employment Type: Travel

Unit: Cath Lab / IR (6 suites: IR, EP, Cath)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 8-hr Days (start between 7a–10a, 40 hrs/wk)
Guaranteed Hours: 40/wk

Requirements

Certifications: BLS, ACLS (must complete moderate conscious sedation competency test)
Experience:
- ICU background required
- Pre & post-op experience preferred (training provided)
- Balloon pump, Therma cool, Impella experience required
- EP experience a plus
- Must be able to circulate; scrubbing experience strongly preferred
- Previous travel experience & strong teamwork/cultural fit highly valued

Unit / Department Details

Case Volume (monthly): 80+ EP, 60–80 Specials, 30–50 Cath procedures
Common Cases: Peripheral interventions, interventional oncology, pacers, ICDs, Therma cool, Impella (no TAVR yet, planned for future)
Charge RN: Provides break relief
Support Staff: No cath lab techs
Monitoring/Charting: McKesson + Cerner
Scrubs: Provided
Orientation: 2–3 shifts with preceptor
Culture: Close-knit “family” team with strong longevity

Additional Info

Call: Not required; optional if experienced/willing (M–F)
Weekends/Holidays: None required
RT & Pharmacy: RT 24/7; Pharmacy in-house until 10p, auto-verification after hours
