Registered Nurse – PCU (Progressive Care Unit)

Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: Weekend required every other; Floating within like units as needed
Unit: 106100 - 6 VALLEY PAVILION - PCU
Position Overview:
Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on night shift with a patient ratio of 1:4-5. Must pass EKG exam with no exceptions. First-time travelers accepted with minimum 2 years of experience. Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required.
Certifications Required:
- Active State or Compact RN License
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- NIH Stroke Scale
Experience Required:
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience in PCU or similar acute care setting
- Epic charting experience required for all RN specialties
- Locals not accepted within 50-mile radius of main campus
Skills & Competencies:
- Ability to pass EKG exam (mandatory)
- Patient care in PCU with critical thinking for acute patient needs
- Floating between like units within hospital system as needed
Scheduling & Call:
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7 PM – 7 AM)
- Weekend shifts required every other weekend
- No on-call required
- Option for 36 or 48 hours per week (please specify interest at submission)
- Return Traveler Policy: Must be away from facility for 1 year to return as a traveler
- System has a 2-contract limit (one extension allowed), then must be gone for 6 months before returning
