Learn more about who we are: What You'll Do
As a Construction Executive, you'll oversee all construction projects, providing resources and construction expertise to Project Managers as needed. As the executive-level contact for the project owner(s) and project manager(s) for issues pertaining to budgets, billings, and client satisfaction, this position has a critical role in the financial success of WCG Construction.
Key Focus Areas:
- Safety Oversight - Collaborate with other organizational leaders to interpret and enforce operations and safety policies and procedures for the organization. This includes proactively addressing safety and operational concerns while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company health and safety policies.
- Project Leadership - Engagement in all project phases from kick-off through closeout for assigned projects. A critical element of this responsibility is in ensuring a smooth transition from the preconstruction phase to the construction phase with a focus on financial management, schedule management and quality management.
- Strategic Planning and Execution- Represent WCG while collaborating with project owners, architects, consultants, government authorities, vendors, and subcontractors. Participate as necessary in securing new work through involvement in estimate development and review, buyout of subcontractors, crafting proposals and attending presentations as needed.
- Team Development - Guide, mentor and develop project managers and project engineers with the goal of driving team growth, organizational performance, and productivity.
What You'll Need
- Either a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, plus 10+ years of progressive construction experience.
- A strong safety and hazard-awareness focus.
- CPM scheduling software experience is required. Familiarity with ASTA is a plus.
- Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, prime contracts, and subcontracts to understand the deal.
- Expertise with management and implementation of RFIs, ASIs, submittals, and other industry practices.
- Expertise with negotiated and design-bid-build contracts.
- Hands-on knowledge of site work, structural systems, finishes, building exterior systems, layout, and the like.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office + Outlook.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and scheduling skills.
- Experience with Procore, OSHA 30, and First Aid/CPR preferred.
- Valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements
- Light Work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, phone, and computer printer.
- Constantly reads written communications and views mail submissions. Will also need to read blueprints and take/verify field measurements. The person in this position regularly sits in a stationary position in front of a computer screen.
