Gilead Community Services is seeking a passionate and experienced professional to serve as Chief Administrator of Addiction and Psychiatric Services. This individual will be responsible for overseeing clinical operations, personnel management and executive functions for Gilead's Addictions Treatment and Psychiatric Services. They will be responsible for program quality, regulatory compliance, supervision and external partnerships.
Duties and Responsibilities - Provide a high level of clinical expertise regarding mental health and addiction disorders through supervision, consolidation, and program development for the organization.
- Create, monitor and maintain a high level of excellence in processes for all contractual agreements and licensing regulations.
- Maintain and implement Gilead's Recovery Philosophy with direct implications to staff, clients, family, and community development.
- Demonstrate expertise in clinical leadership by developing and directing admissions, continued services, and discharge processes for the addiction treatment services within the organization, with focus on quality, and timely utilization and fiscal stability.
- Facilitate and Participate in Agency Leadership Meetings, Board Meetings and ad hoc work groups in effort to carry out the mission of the organization.
- Identify, create and improve policies and procedures for agency programming.
- Monitor and maintain positive outcome measures as defined by the license regulations and agency quality assurance processes.
- Develop new or revised programming through the solicitation of grants, and other funding resources to promote program development. Provide input on contract and budget development for the planning and implementing of new services within the ASAM continuum of addiction treatment services.
- Consult with the Executive Director and Medical Director regarding medical, mental health and addiction treatment needs regarding risk management.
- Respond to after-hours calls, for evening, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Participate in the efforts to advance the agency in Development and Fundraising annually.
- Work in coordination with the agency Administrative Support and Senior Clinical staff for proficient service delivery.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities - Provide individual clinical and administrative supervision for the Senior Management Employees of the Addictions Treatment and Psychiatric services of the organization.
- Monitor clinical quality assurance through staff evaluations, assessment of educational and training needs and supervision of each of the Addictions Treatment clinical programs.
- Develop and maintain programs for sound employee relationships within the organization.
- Provide guidance and direction to Management Employees to assist in their professional development.
- Responsible for the hiring, supervising, assessing, and if needed disciplining of subordinate Supervisors within the Addiction Treatment services of the organization.
- Position currently supervises 3 Senior Management Employees.
Education and Years of Experience - Degree: Master's degree in human services Field Required.
- License: Professional License in the Human Services Field Required
- Number of Years of Experience: 10
Requirements - Prior administrative and clinical experience directing services in the field of Addiction Services and general Psychiatric Services.
- Prior advanced training in organizational leadership within health care facilities.
- Prior sound knowledge of mental health and addictions.
- Prior knowledge of employment law and human relations.
- Must maintain and provide proof of valid driver's license and automobile insurance in good standing.
- Demonstration of ethical behavior and sound judgment that supports the NASW standards of care.
- Must meet and maintain all required training, certifications etc. as needed.
- Uphold confidentiality by following the HIPAA regulations.
