Salary: The budgeted salary rangefor the faculty position is $140,000 to $210,000. The budgeted salary for thedepartment head administrative stipend is $40,00.00. Opportunities tosupplement income from Faculty Practice are available. Salary is competitiveand commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also consideringinternal equity.

TheUniversity of Illinois Chicago, College of Dentistry (COD) invites applicationsfrom mid-career and senior Endodontics educators for a full time, tenureeligible position as Associate Professor/Professor and Head of the Departmentof Endodontics.
Thesuccessful candidate will provide vision and leadership as well as managementand administrative support of the department's predoctoral,postgraduate/graduate and research programs and maintain its reputation as anationally and internationally recognized center of education, research, andservice.
TheDepartment educates dental students and postgraduate specialty students in thediscipline of Endodontics and supports high level scholarship and research. Interdisciplinarycollaboration within the College and other Colleges on the University campus isencouraged. CODA accredited Advanced Dental Education programs in Endodontics,Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry,Periodontics, and Prosthodontics are housed within the College of Dentistry. TheCollege's clinical Department Heads function as a collaborative leadership teamin ensuring the ongoing integration of these programs.
TheCollege is located in one of the most comprehensive academic health sciencescenters in the U. S. that includes a Comprehensive Cancer Center, Center forClinical and Translational Sciences, College of Medicine, College of AppliedHealth Sciences, School of Public Health, Bioengineering program, School ofNursing and College of Pharmacy.
The candidate must have earned a DDS/DMD (or equivalent) degree,have graduated from a CODA-accredited Advanced Dental Education program in Endodonticsor equivalent training, be eligible for licensure in Illinois, and have fiveyears evidence of effective teaching experience and have a substantial recordof scholarship and publications, and extensive clinical experience. Thepreferred candidate will have an advanced degree (e.g., MS, M.Ed, MPH, PhD or equivalent),advanced training in research, and previous management experience. Diplomatestatus of the American Board Endodontics or educational qualification for suchstatus is desirable but not required. The preferred candidates will haveexperience such as leadership in teaching, mentoring, research or servicetowards building an equitable and diverse scholarly environment. Academic rankand tenure eligibility will be commensurate with qualifications and experience accordingto the COD Faculty Norms and Criteria.
