Job Title: RCFE Administrator
Position Type: Exempt pay range: $80,760-$116,000 annually
Department/Group:RCFE Assisted Living Facilities
Reports To:Campus Administrator
Status: Full Time
Mission Statement:To stand in the presence of the Living God, and with Mary, make known to the world the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Responsible for the operation of the Assisted Living Facilities in accordance with the mission of Santa Teresita and the directives / guidelines of the Santa Teresita's key officers.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Must have an active RCFE Administrator certification and meet DSS requirements below:
Per CA Dept of Social Services (DSS):
A minimum of Associate's Degree or two years of College completed. Must have completed at least 15 college or continuing education semester or equivalent quarter units with a passing grade.
State regulation requires that the individual holding this position be at least 21 years of age.
Must meet DSS required health screening, TB clearance and Criminal Record Clearance
Must have at least one year's experience providing residential care to the elderly or equivalent education and or experience as approved by the DSS.
Must have CPR and First Aid Certificate, and Valid California Driver License and ability to be insured.
Must have the knowledge and ability to follow applicable laws and regulations.
Computer literacy in Windows and Web based programs including, but not limited to, all Microsoft Office programs
Fluently read, speak, write and understand the English language
Skills and Job Requirements
Must have the knowledge and ability to follow all applicable laws and regulations and administer the facility according to those laws and regulations.
Must complete a minimum of 40 hours of continuing education every 2 years according to Title 22 regulations and maintain current CA RCFE certificate.
Basic financial management, budgeting and accountability skills.
Ability to make appropriate independent decisions.
Ability to hire, train, supervise, and manage, all staff.
Ability to handle and mediate conflicts with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, vendors, and the general public, even under difficult circumstances in a polite and professional manner.
Communicate as considered appropriate i.e. verbal, e-mail, written memo, and formal reporting provided given context of urgency, materiality and infrastructure development.
Overall supervision of care of residents and at times may provide care.
Maintain all facility records according to state and federal laws and licensing regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise and be responsible for daily operations of the Assisted Living Cottages in accordance with state/federal regulations, organizational policies, approved programs and budget at all times.
Develop and manage operating and capital budgets for assisted living cottages.
May negotiate new vendors and sign agreements with approval and review from Campus Administrator
Plan, organize, develop, and implement programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc. that are necessary for carrying out job functions to the highest quality standards
Maintain all records required by licensing agencies, state and federal laws, and organization practices in a complete and accurate manner that is easily retrievable upon request by those authorized to do so
Supervise, manage, train and coach staff with direct reporting through daily interactions, leadership training programs, and counseling memos when needed
Create, supervise, and approve the scheduling of staff and the payroll process
Facilitate a healthy team effort in management by conducting staff meetings as needed and develop projects with interdepartmental collaboration
Troubleshoot and mediate all conflicts, problems, grievances with staff, residents, family and any outside vendor or agency
Ensure timely response to all potential new resident inquiries and conduct all necessary initial screenings prior to admission of resident
Open, close, and manage all resident care agreements
Ensure provision of services to residents with appropriate regard for the resident's physical, mental and emotionally well-being and needs
Cultivate positive relationships with all residents and their family members.
Oversee and ensure marketing designee to market events that will provide exposure of services and conduct tours for any prospective residents/families as needed
Create and submit all reports required by Santa Teresita Administration and Finance Office by the assigned deadline
Follow all guidelines in the handbook and policies, as well as, all safety procedures established by Santa Teresita and ensure the same for all those responsible to supervise
Must be available to troubleshoot emergencies and problems that may arise at any time.
Attend all in-services, meetings and other training required for this position
Perform any other duties as requested by the Santa Teresita Campus Administrator.
Working Conditions

Is subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, personnel, vendors and visitors
Must be able to travel locally as needed
Physical and Sensory Requirements
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met
Must be able to push, pull, move, a minimum of 25 pounds and be able to push, pull, move, such a weight a minimum distance of 50 feet
Must be able to lift and/or carry a minimum of 25 pounds and lift to a height of 5 feet
