Interface Coordinator - Penetrations/Structural Management Job Description The purpose of this position is to provide overall engineering execution leadership on small sized projects, small / sustaining capital projects (SCP), mid-size projects within a multi project group (MPG), or Long Term Service Agreements (LTSA).This position has the responsibility and accountability for the performance of the engineering team and the successful execution of all engineering work on the project. This position also leads and guides the development and implementation of the execution strategy and oversees development and enforcement of engineering budget, schedule, and quality. This role also has the responsibility to promote company's competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence. When assigned to manage a client LTSA, this role develops a complete understanding of the company's contract to provide full support to the overall project management team.
• Has overall responsibility and accountability for the performance of the engineering team, and the engineering execution and delivery as per the project baseline. This position performs Engineering Management responsibilities on a small low risk EPFC/CM project (as defined by the Business Line) or services project or on multiple small projects within a client CAPEX portfolio, including coordination of design activities.
• Support the interfaces between the engineering disciplines, by understanding the discipline work processes and looking ahead to identify critical busts and / or activities that need to be completed to support the execution strategy.
• Support the positive project culture in conjunction with the Project Manager.
• Review overall project Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, and other project / LTSA baseline documents for all phases of projects.
• Lead/Support the development of the Project Execution Strategy for all engineering functions.
• Other duties as assigned.
Basic Job Requirements • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and ten (10) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications to comply with local requirements.
OR
• Accredited two (2) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twelve (12) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to fourteen (14) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications to comply with local requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.

• Ideally have been a Project Engineering Lead on FEED and Detail Design projects.

Preferred Qualifications • Demonstrated experience checking structural, or architectural, design and calculations, and support solving problems of moderate to difficult technical complexity.
• Demonstrated experience reviewing design documentation within the discipline and from other disciplines, vendors, subcontractors, or external stakeholders for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution.
• Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to develop and build external relations with client representatives, vendors and subcontractors, and external stakeholders and interface closely with other discipline functions promoting Client Service Excellence .
• Intermediate to Advanced Knowledge of: o Hydrologic analysis and hydraulic design, geotechnical engineering and investigations, boundary and topographical surveying (civil)
o Performing hand and computer calculations for foundations, concrete, and steel structures (structural)
o Analyzing complex structures
o Wind and seismic loading in structural calculations (structural)
o Dynamic analysis and design (structural)
o Computer modeling and analysis (structural)
o Discipline codes and standards
• Intermediate to advanced computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet, and electronic presentation programs.
• Ability to use discipline specific software may be required.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
