Description Hennepin Health is looking for a Community Outreach Supervisor to join their team. This position will lead Hennepin Health's community outreach events and initiatives, building relationships with current and potential members and with community partners. The position will also be part of Hennepin Health's marketing, communications, and outreach (MCO) team, but will work closely with all Hennepin Health departments and with staff from Hennepin County's Health and Human Services line of business to ensure that community voices are considered in health plan operations.
Location and hours: This position is hybrid and will be performed both on-site at the Hennepin County Health Services Building at 525 Portland Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55415, at community events, and remote as job duties require. Work hours will be primarily Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with night and weekend flexibility as needed for community outreach events. Reliable transportation required. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.

In this position, you will: - Manage county-wide and community outreach events and initiatives on behalf of Hennepin Health.
- Supervise the Hennepin Health community outreach coordinator by mentoring and providing work direction, approving time cards, and completing performance reviews.
- Develop and evaluate MCO team goals, policies, procedures, and plans.
- Help forecast MCO team expenditures, evaluate staffing needs and budget cost implications, and assist in setting Hennepin Health marketing, communication, and outreach priorities.
- Analyze and interpret current and proposed laws, rules, and legislation related to Hennepin Health's marketing, communication, and marketing infrastructure.
- Recommend outreach policy and procedures, and review and assess policy and procedure alternatives.
- Help facilitate Hennepin Health's enrollee advisory committee and supervise staff who co-lead committee meetings.
- Recommend action regarding complaints about Hennepin Health's marketing, communications, and outreach services and assist in resolving issues.
Need to have: - One of the following:
- Eight years or more of general administrative work related to the management of departmental/organizational operations or in a specialty area appropriate to the position.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in public administration, business administration or related field and four years or more of experience in general administrative work relating to the management of departmental/organizational operations or in a specialty area appropriate to the position.
- Access to reliable transportation
