ADA Certification Administrator (TPIV). We are seeking a collaborative and service-oriented leader to oversee daily operations, customer service delivery, and technology coordination for our Access Paratransit certification services. This position plays a critical role in planning and managing the work of a team of Customer Service Coordinators (CSCs), ensuring exceptional support for individuals navigating the ADA paratransit eligibility process.
The successful candidate will lead daily team coordination, provide coaching and training, and serve as the primary point of contact for escalated customer concerns. This role is also deeply involved in cross-functional collaboration with internal teams, external partners such as Harborview Medical Center, and technology vendors like Spare Labs to support ongoing service delivery and system improvements.
This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to foster a responsive and inclusive customer service culture. The ideal candidate will bring experience in staff supervision, paratransit or human services program delivery, and a commitment to equitable transportation access for people with disabilities.
This recruitment will be used to fill 1 Special Duty Assignment position. In addition, this selection process may be used to generate an eligibility pool for future Special Duty Assignment vacancies that may occur in this classification within this workgroup. The eligibility pool will be retained for 12 months from the date of posting and may be used at the discretion of the hiring authority.
Job Duties Applying equity and social justice principles is a daily responsibility and a foundational expectation for all King County employees. In this role you will apply equity and social justice principles to all aspects of the work. You will:
- Plan, schedule, and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly activities for a team of Access Certification Customer Service Coordinators (CSCs).
- Lead daily team huddles to ensure adequate phone coverage and consistent customer service support.
- Provide direct supervision, training, and ongoing coaching to CSC staff, including onboarding and development of new hires and temporary staff.
- Manage timekeeping processes, including timesheet review and approval for CSC staff.
- Serve as escalation point for elevated customer service concerns related to Access Paratransit services.
- Coordinate support for customer-facing functions, such as the ADA Paratransit evaluation process and the Transportation Resource Center at Harborview.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure positive customer experiences and resolution of complex service issues.
- Lead coordination with external vendors (e.g., Spare Labs) and internal stakeholders for paratransit certification technology upgrades and implementations.
- Participate in multiple cross-functional meetings each week to guide project progress and advocate for user needs and system improvements.
- Support ADA Paratransit programs by ensuring consistent workflows, documentation, and communication protocols.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of service delivery models in response to changing public needs and expectations

- Support programs like Transit Instruction and Pathway Review by coordinating with oversight leads and understanding operational challenges and public perception impacts.
- Work closely with Access operations, planning, IT, and customer communications as needed and other departments/contractors as needed
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in a related field and at least seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in ADA paratransit services, or transit operations, including at least five (5) years of team supervision; OR any equivalent combination of education and experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Demonstrated experience with ADA Paratransit Certification/Eligibility services is required.
- Demonstrated skill in supervising and leading a team, including performance management, workload planning, and staff development.
- Strong knowledge of ADA regulations and their application in paratransit certification, customer service, or service planning contexts.
- Experience coordinating complex customer-facing programs involving cross-departmental or external partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, resolve customer concerns, and maintain service continuity in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience participating in or leading process improvements, technology implementations, or vendor coordination.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical or regulatory information to diverse audiences.

Work Location The work associated with this position will be hybrid with a combination of teleworking and onsite work as needed. The office location is at King Street Center (201 S. Jackson St., Seattle, WA). Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance of their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
Work Schedule The work week is normally 40 hours, Monday through Friday. Alternative work schedules may be possible. This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and therefore is not eligible for overtime pay.
