The University of Washington School of Medicine Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine at Seattle Children's Hospital has Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) positions available at the rank of Teaching Associate. These positions are without tenure and are full-time or part-time with a 12-month service period. The anticipated start date is August 2025. The base salary range for these positions will be $19,178 - $22,607 per month ($230,136 - $271,284 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor previaling wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the Children's University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by the CUMG practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization. Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through the CUMG practice plan. Seattle Children's provides care to children from the WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho) region and supports all pediatric surgical and medical specialties. CRNAs implement the mission, vision, and values of Seattle Children's Hospital- to provide hope, care and cures to help every child live the healthiest and most fulfilling life possible. CRNAs will demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to provide anesthesia care appropriate to children of all ages, from the neonate to the young adult. CRNAs will work in collaboration with the medically supervising physician and under the standards of the Department of Anesthesiology and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• May provide coverage for operating rooms and non-operative anesthesia locations at all Seattle Children's location including the Main campus in Seattle, as well the Surgery Center in Bellevue
• Review medical records and conduct preoperative evaluations
• Work collaboratively with Attending anesthesiologist to determine appropriate anesthetic plan for upcoming surgery;
• Prepare the appropriate equipment for administration of anesthesia
• Initiate and maintain general and/or regional anesthesia, sedation, airway management, emergence, and post-anesthesia care
• Involved in teaching of medical students, residents, fellows and supervising SRNAs
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia education program required. Successful completion of the National Certification Examination from the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA). Obtain state licensure as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice licensure in the State of Washington. Current BLS/ACLS/PALS certification.
