About the Role: This role will provide
direct support to the
Head of Facultative North America and the broader leadership team , serving as
an analyst on a range of strategic and operational initiatives across the organization .
The position offers a comprehensive view of the most critical strategic and operational priorities within the underwriting unit, along with valuable exposure and direct collaboration with senior leadership.
Through ownership of key projects, you will strengthen your capabilities in
strategic problem-solving, performance monitoring, operational excellence, and client engagement .
The core responsibilities will include:
- Support the North American Facultative leader and extended leadership team with projects and activities that deliver on the underwriting unit's strategic objectives (e.g., Performance Culture, Improving Client Engagement)
- Collaborate with and support the broader Global Facultative leadership on strategic initiatives and projects aligned with North America
- Coordinate client, industry and market requests and events, e.g., portfolio performance, client packs, team offsites
- Provide quantitative and qualitative analysis, including coordination with Finance and other functions/ data providers.
- Support delivery of presentations and briefing material for internal management meetings (in coordination with cross-functional teams), e.g., Business Performance Reviews, town halls & offsites, and external events.
- Ensure collaboration with other client teams and other markets/ functional units and sharing knowledge and best practice effectively.
About the Team The DOO team works together with senior leaders in the P&C Reinsurance unit and aspires to enable the strategic direction of P&C and L&H globally and drive operational excellence to position Swiss Re for success today and tomorrow.
About You - You bring 2-3 years of experience in Business Operations and/or Underwriting Support within a large organization.
- You have advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel ; familiarity with Power BI is a strong plus.
- You have a track record of providing cross-functional support across a variety of operational initiatives.
- You are a collaborative team player who actively contributes to a positive team culture.
- You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and are confident engaging with a wide range of internal stakeholders.
- You bring an analytical and commercially minded approach to your work.
- You hold a college degree.
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office three days per week. This role is not eligible for either relocation assistance or visa sponsorship. The estimated base salary range for this position is $67,000 to $101,000. The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.
