Principal System Administrator 1

This position involves managing and securing Microsoft 365 services, ensuring optimal performance, threat protection, and automation.The ideal candidate will be an experienced IT professional with deep technical knowledge and a proactive approach to cloud services.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and support Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)
Administer Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) with:
- Conditional access
- Identity governance
- Hybrid configurations
Oversee email security and threat protection using Proofpoint
Develop and maintain automation and reporting scripts using PowerShell
Implement Microsoft 365 security and compliance features

Qualifications
Experience

7+ years in IT overall
5+ years focused on Microsoft 365 and cloud-based services

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Equivalent work experience may be considered

Technical Skills
Must Have:

Microsoft 365 Administration
Entra ID / Azure AD
Proofpoint (Email Security)
PowerShell scripting
Systems integration & troubleshooting

Nice to Have:

Microsoft Intune & endpoint management
Microsoft Graph API
Microsoft Purview compliance knowledge
ITSM platforms like ServiceNow or Jira
Project documentation & organizational skills

Systems Knowledge

Microsoft 365 suite
Azure & AWS cloud platforms
Microsoft Graph API
ITSM tools (ServiceNow/Jira)
