Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct comprehensive eye exams to assess patients' visual acuity and health
- Prescribe corrective lenses and provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery
- Diagnose and treat various eye diseases and vision problems
- Educate patients on eye health, including preventive care and treatments
- Utilize Athenahealth EMR system for documenting patient care and managing records
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care
Additional Information
- Board certification in Optometry required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certifications needed
- Must be licensed to practice in Maine
