Responsibilities and Duties
- Consult with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
- Recommend and order tests to determine the extent of illness or help diagnose conditions.
- Monitor lab results, medication adherence, and medication toxicities.
- Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccinations, and other medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
- Explain procedures, test results, or prescribed treatment with patients.
- Refer patients to medical specialists when necessary.
- Represent the practice at hospital committees, ensuring fair distribution of responsibilities among physicians.
- Collaborate and manage Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
Additional Information
- Must be licensed to practice medicine in California.
- Proven experience in a primary care setting is required.
- Exceptional diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a team-oriented environment.
