Job Description: Radiology/Cardiology X-Ray Tech
Location: Missoula, MT 59802
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night 3x10-Hour or Night 4x10-Hour (21:00 - 07:00), 7 days on / 7 days off rotation
Weekly Breakdown:
Weekly Gross: $2,603.00 Per Week
On W2(Taxable): $720.00 Per Week
Stipend(Non-Taxable): $1,883.00 Per Week
Job Summary :Providence Saint Patrick Hospital is seeking a skilled X-Ray Technician with at least 1 year of experience to join their Radiology/Cardiology department. This role involves performing diagnostic imaging exams including routine outpatient exams, portable radiography, fluoroscopy procedures, and assisting in surgical suites with C-arm and O-arm equipment. The position requires flexibility to float within the facility and strong proficiency with charting systems, especially Epic.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine outpatient diagnostic exams and portable radiography on inpatients, ED, and post-surgical patients.
- Conduct fluoroscopy procedures including lumbar punctures, barium studies (swallow, barium enema, etc.), and joint injections.
- Operate C-arm and O-arm imaging equipment in surgical suites supporting Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Vascular, and Urology specialties.
- Maintain compliance with all safety and infection control protocols.
- Document patient data and imaging results accurately using Epic charting system.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including radiologists, surgeons, and nursing staff.
- Provide patient care across all age groups from neonates to geriatrics.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of X-Ray Tech experience required.
- Experience in teaching and community hospital settings required.
- Proficiency with Epic charting system required.
- Certifications: ARRT (Radiologic Technologist), BLS required.
- Preferred Skills: Experience with GE, Philips, Siemens imaging equipment; abdomen, chest, spine, extremity imaging; fluoroscopy and contrast media administration.
- Ability to float within the facility as needed.
Work Environment
- Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care / Level II Trauma
- Total Staff Beds: 209
- Teaching Hospital with sterile units including OR, ICU, ER, and COVID units.
- Scrubs provided in sterile units; other units may wear any color.
- Parking available at no cost.
- Charting system: Epic
Additional Requirements
- Valid MT or Compact RN license (for submission)
- Valid Allied license as applicable
- Local radius: within 50 miles
- Two supervisory references covering at least one year of experience in the last 3 years required before start.
- Compliance with Providence travel policies, including COVID-19 and flu vaccine guidelines.
