Job Summary:
We are seeking a certified and skilled MRI Technologist to join our imaging team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating MRI scanners to capture high-quality diagnostic images that assist in patient care and treatment planning. Your expertise and attention to detail ensure providers have the information they need to make informed medical decisions.
Job Description:
As an MRI Technologist, you will:
- Operate high-field strength magnets and MRI equipment to capture images of specified body areas
- Perform MRI scans following safety protocols and imaging procedures
- Screen patients for MRI safety and explain the procedure to alleviate concerns
- Position and immobilize patients for imaging using protective equipment as needed
- Evaluate image quality, sequence exposure correctly, and ensure proper labeling
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health records (EHR) and PACS system
- Follow quality control and assurance standards as per ACR guidelines
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and safety protocols
- Clean, sanitize, and prepare equipment and workspaces daily
- Communicate effectively with medical staff and support teams
- Be flexible to work nights, weekends, and travel to different clinic locations if needed
Requirements:
Certifications & Education:
- MRI Technologist certification through ARRT or ARMRIT
Knowledge of:
- MRI and radiology safety procedures and protocols
- HIPAA and OSHA regulations and compliance
Experience with:
- Operating MRI and related radiology equipment
- Radiology software, EHR, and PACS systems
- Communicating clearly with patients and healthcare professionals
