**Job Title: Cardiovascular Technologist I**
**Shift:**
- 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM (5 days a week)
- No weekends, No holidays, No on-call
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular Technologist I to assist physicians in various cardiac procedures, including Cardiac Catheterization, Angioplasty, Atherectomy, and Intra-vascular Ultrasound. The ideal candidate will acquire the necessary skills to support the performance of advanced interventional techniques and contribute to the development of new technologies within the field.
**Essential Responsibilities:**
- Prepare sterile trays for each procedure and organize specific equipment as required.
- Prepare patients for procedures by attaching EKG leads and performing required scrubs and draping.
- Assist nursing staff in the preparation and monitoring of patients.
- Calibrate and test transducers to ensure accurate pressure readings.
- Support physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Load and operate power injectors for imaging procedures.
- Maintain digital cine technologies and ensure proper storage and retrieval of patient images and records.
- Ensure accurate downloading of all CD acquisitions to the hospital mainframe for accessibility.
- Aid in the management of patient care during emergencies and assist in restoring well-being as needed.
- Support the removal of procedural sheaths post-procedure and assist with vascular closure devices.
- Monitor supply inventory and notify necessary personnel of supply shortages.
- Participate in the maintenance and calibration of diagnostic and technical equipment.
- Identify and modify care to meet the needs of diverse patient populations, ensuring effective communication with patients and caregivers.
- Adhere to all organizational standards and competencies.
**Qualifications:**
- **Required Experience:**
- Minimum of 2 years in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory or invasive procedure area in an acute care hospital.
- Completion of a CVT accredited program or 2 years of experience in another cardiac vascular laboratory.
- **Skills:**
- Familiarity with computer systems, hemodynamic monitoring, and sterile techniques.
- **Required Education:**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- **Preferred Education:**
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs, push or pull a minimum of 100 lbs, and stand for at least 4 hours per day.
