About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-Ray / CT Technologist with experience in both modalities to join our team for an 8-week night shift assignment. This position requires working Friday through Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform X-ray and CT exams following established protocols and safety standards.
Explain procedures clearly to patients and address any questions or concerns.
Operate X-ray and CT equipment by adjusting controls to obtain required images.
Position patients correctly to ensure optimal imaging quality.
Adhere to radiation safety practices for patients and co-workers.
Conduct quality assurance checks and maintain cleanliness and stock levels in the imaging area.
Follow all office policies, including HIPAA, ACR, and NYS DOH regulations.
Utilize radiology systems such as PACS, EMR, and RIS; promptly report any equipment malfunctions.
Troubleshoot problems arising during patient exams efficiently and professionally.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Medical Radiography or equivalent education and experience.
Valid New York State License.
Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
Proven experience in both X-Ray and CT imaging.
Schedule:
Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
8-week travel assignment
