As a
Electrophysiology (EP) Monitoring Technologist you'll perform diagnostic electrophysiology procedures and provide critical support in the evaluation and treatment of cardiac rhythm disorders. You will work closely with physicians, specialists, and patients to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient procedure execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrophysiology diagnostic procedures including electrocardiograms (ECGs), intracardiac electrograms, and related interventions.
- Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout.
- Verify the functionality of all electrophysiology equipment prior to procedures.
- Monitor patient vitals and equipment output during procedures to identify abnormalities or technical issues.
- Assist physicians with procedures such as cardiac ablations, pacemaker and ICD implantations, and other device-related interventions.
- Document findings, assist with lab analysis, and communicate relevant results to physicians and clinical staff.
- Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to all infection control and safety protocols.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: You should have a minimum of 2 years in an electrophysiology or cardiology lab setting
- Certifications: You’ll need to have a valid New York State license and a BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Skills: Strong understanding of cardiac electrophysiology, arrhythmias, and device therapies and familiarity with EP recording systems and 3D mapping technology
