1. **Night Shift**: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
2. **Midday to Midnight Shift**: 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM
**Job Description:**
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapists to provide exceptional patient care within our healthcare facility. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering intensive respiratory care and patient transport as medically prescribed, while operating with minimal supervision.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Evaluate patients and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
- Explain treatment purposes, procedures, tests, and equipment to patients, ensuring they receive necessary education before discharge.
- Conduct physician-prescribed respiratory treatments, utilizing both invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipment, oxygen devices, aerosol devices, and nebulizers.
- Perform chest physiotherapy using various equipment to enhance secretion clearance.
- Conduct suctioning via oropharyngeal, nasal, and tracheal methods.
- Monitor oximetry and capnography in accordance with established policies.
- Review and assess patients' chest X-rays and perform arterial punctures for efficiency of ventilation.
- Assist with pulmonary function studies and support respiratory procedures, including bronchoscopy and tracheostomy care.
- Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation in compliance with BLS and ACLS guidelines.
- Set up and maintain mechanical ventilation equipment, ensuring proper operation and monitoring.
- Document treatment details and patient responses meticulously in respiratory care records and patient charts.
- Communicate effectively with attending and pulmonary physicians regarding treatment progress.
- Maintain accurate respiratory therapy charging and address any discrepancies in patient data.
