**Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist**
**Shift:** Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with holiday and on-call responsibilities as needed.
**Job Description:**
Join our dynamic team as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, where you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. This position demands a high level of skill and professionalism, with primary responsibilities including:
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Diagnostic Imaging:** Demonstrate proficiency in selecting appropriate exposure factors and positioning techniques to produce radiologic images of diagnostic quality.
- **Collaboration:** Work cooperatively with all members of the department to swiftly address and resolve any challenges that may arise.
- **Patient Interaction:** Instruct and prepare patients for examinations, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout the process. Assist Radiologists during interventional procedures.
- **Equipment Operation:** Show competence in operating all radiologic equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions to management or team leads.
- **Efficiency:** Complete all assigned procedures in a timely manner, utilizing periods between procedures to assist others and facilitate room turnover.
- **Medication Security:** Understand and uphold medication security protocols, ensuring that only authorized personnel have access to medications.
- **Documentation Management:** Utilize Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS effectively, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all patient care interactions.
- **Performance Improvement:** Participate in hospital performance improvement initiatives and maintain competency in all aspects of customer service.
**Requirements:**
- Valid NYS Tech License (or ability to obtain before start)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a relevant setting
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- VIR Certified
