Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading ($facility_type$) in Lawton, OK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide patients with radioactive medication as prescribed
• Operate imaging technology to track radiation within patient's body
• Perform nuclear medicine procedures and scans
• Monitor patient safety during radioactive medication administration
• Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment
• Follow radiation safety protocols and procedures
• Document patient procedures and imaging results
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of radioactive materials
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members
• Maintain required certifications and continuing education
• Provide patient education regarding nuclear medicine procedures
• Perform quality control checks on imaging equipment
• Be available for on-call duties including overnight coverage
• Work scheduled shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Maintain at least 6 months of relevant nuclear medicine experience
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
