HIGHLIGHTS:
- 13-week contract
- 32 hours a week, 8 hour
- Primarily day shift, hours do vary according to the OR schedule
- Will have on-call hours
- Holidays are normally off unless you are on-call
- Must have a current WA license and BLS
- Current certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists required
- Minimum one year hospital surgical background preferred
- High School graduate or equivalent (GED) required
- Successful completion of Surgical Technologist Course or equivalent experience
- Ability to work swiftly and skillfully under stressful circumstances
- Ability to work with a myriad of physicians
- Ability to lift forty (40) pounds from floor to waist, and from chair to bed level
- Ability to pull fifty (50) pounds from stretcher to bed
- Ability to push fifty (50) pound stretcher 300 feet
- Ability to lift five (5) pounds overhead

MORE INFORMATION:
- Located close to the PNW beaches and the Olympic National Forrest
- Position Overview: The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) provides necessary support to the OR, PACU and Day Surgery areas
- Keeps assigned areas clean, sanitary, aseptic and attractive by following department cleaning procedures
- Assists the staff with preparation of equipment and supplies needed for procedures
- May be asked to assist with clerical or other non-nursing administrative duties related to the department
- Assumes other duties as assigned by the Director or designee
- Accountable to: Director of Surgical Services, or in the absence of the Director, is responsible to the Surgery Charge RN
- Possess a basic and thorough knowledge of the functions and philosophies of the OR Department
- Demonstrate knowledge of asepsis and sterile techniques
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment
- Demonstrates accurate judgment and decision-making ability consistent with Surgical Technologists knowledge and skills
