Schedule: Saturdays only, 8:00 AM – 12:00 AM ((Part-Time))
Shift Duration: 16-hour shift |Days Per Week: 1| Hours Per Week: 16
Pay rate: $ 70 - $ 72 per hour on W2
Job Description / Duties: The CT Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic CT imaging in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols. Key responsibilities include:
- Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Perform daily quality control calibration checks to ensure equipment is operating correctly.
- Administer contrast agents as per protocol and under physician direction.
- Maintain accurate documentation in logs, charge sheets, and equipment manuals.
- Adhere to ALARA principles and all radiation safety standards.
- Manage imaging data (electronic and hard copy) for radiologist review.
- Order and verify radiopharmaceutical doses according to departmental policy.
- Receive, verify, and administer radiopharmaceuticals appropriately.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols and radiologic safety standards.
- Ability to assess and respond to patient needs during all phases of the imaging process.
- Excellent communication, technical, and documentation skills.
Education & Certification Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Licensure:
- NYS DOH Radiologic Technologist License (Required)
- ARRT Certification in Radiography and CT (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of CT experience required.
- Injection Certification Required
