Job Description: X-Ray Tech - Radiology/Cardiology
Job Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day 4x10-Hour: 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM / Day 5x8-Hour: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Weekly Breakdown:
Weekly Gross: $2,206.00 Per Week
On W2(Taxable): $960.00 Per Week
Stipend(Non-Taxable): $1,246.00 Per Week
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum Experience: 1 year of X-Ray Tech experience
- Certifications:
- ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Skills (Preferred):
- Abdomen (KUB, Decubitus, Upright)
- Upper Extremity (shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, etc.)
- Trauma X-rays (shoulder, upper extremities, lower extremities)
- Fluoroscopy studies (arthrography, barium swallow, ERCP)
- Mobile/Surgical C-Arm, O-Arm, portable X-rays
Preferred Experience:
- Community hospital experience
- Trauma Level I or II experience
- Teaching hospital experience
- Epic charting system experience
Special Requirements:
- Travel Experience: Required
- Flexible and Adaptable: Must be able to adjust quickly to different work environments and adapt to changes in staffing, equipment, and procedures.
- COVID-19 Vaccination: Not required
- Flu Vaccine: Required (Medical/Religious exemptions allowed)
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform X-ray procedures on patients in various settings (ER, ICU, outpatient, etc.)
- Operate radiologic equipment safely and effectively.
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, explain the procedure, and ensure patient comfort.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and infection prevention guidelines.
- Maintain patient records and document procedures in the Epic charting system.
- Perform mobile radiography, including at the bedside and in operating rooms.
- Assist in the preparation and administration of contrast media.
- Participate in weekend and on-call shifts on a rotating basis.
- Ensure proper patient positioning for accurate imaging.
