The Staff Pad has partnered with Unity Medical Center to hire a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for their Surgical Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a healthcare organization committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
About the Role:
As a Surgical Services RN, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care to patients throughout the peri-operative process, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative stages. This position requires flexibility, professionalism, and a collaborative spirit to ensure optimal outcomes for patients from pediatrics through geriatrics.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care during all phases of the surgical process, including circulating, scrubbing, surgical assistance, post-anesthesia care, and sterile processing.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients.
Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and HIPAA regulations.
Demonstrate leadership, strong communication skills, and a commitment to positive patient outcomes.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold the values of respect, honesty, integrity, compassion, and innovation.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current Tennessee RN license required.
One year of Med/Surg experience preferred.
OR experience and AORN membership preferred.
Ability to read and write effectively in English.
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to lift/carry over 30 lbs., and perform physically demanding activities such as pushing, pulling, bending, and kneeling.
Ability to adapt to irregular hours and respond to emergent situations.
