CT Technologist – Job Description

Schedule:

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM (3 shifts at 9.5 hours each)
Saturday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (11.5 hours)
Total: 39 hours/week

Licensure:

Maryland (MD) license required
Pending MD license is acceptable, but must be active before the start date

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience required
First-time travelers will be considered

Certifications Required:

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
ARRT Advanced Certification

Responsibilities:

Perform CT scans using prescribed techniques and protocols
Review requisitions for accuracy (patient ID, diagnosis, exam description, etc.)
Adjust equipment settings to produce optimal imaging results
Use standard positioning techniques to ensure diagnostic image quality
Select appropriate scan protocols, including density and contrast settings
Conduct scans of various organs to localize pathological sites
Complete all exams and documentation in a timely manner
Administer IV/oral contrast as required and document in Cerner/PowerChart
Perform exam completion steps, including screening, consent, and scanning paperwork into Cerner
