Description
The Registered Nurse assesses patients for skilled home health needs, develops and initiates a plan of care with the physician approval and provides nursing care, ordered by the physician to patients in their place of residence. The Registered Nurse continually re-evaluates the patients nursing needs. The Senior Registered Nurse assists in the delivery of clinical orientation, validation of clinical competency for new and current caregivers, and provides new caregiver observation of clinical experiences. The Senior Registered Nurse is able to apply best practices, adult learning principles, coaching and mentoring skills in order to foster the growth and learning of caregivers. Senior Registered Nurses also provide direct patient care for a diverse community, as scheduling permits.

Required qualifications:
- Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement
- Senior Registered Nurse: Completes Senior Level program within 6 months of employment
- California Registered Nurse License upon hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
- 1 year' Professional nursing experience
Preferred qualifications:
- IV and Central lines experience
- Experience with wound care including use of negative pressure devices
- Home health field experience

Providence Home and Community Care (HCC) is a service line within Providence with over 8,000 caregivers and 2,000 volunteers serving nearly 200,000 people a year, in their homes, in clinics and in a variety of congregate living ministries across our seven-state footprint.
HCC provides a full range of services and support for people of all ages, especially those facing chronic or life-limiting illnesses. Our core competencies include restorative care, longitudinal care and care through the end of life. Our service lines include assisted living/skilled nursing/rehabilitation, home health, home infusion/pharmacy services, home medical equipment, hospice and palliative care, Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), personal home services/private duty care and supportive housing.
